Beaufort N.C.

We noticed that everything is mighty something in the USA. Shure enough, people are mighty helpful, but at times you also you need a huge wallet. Squalls and lightning are mighty fierce, temperatures in summer extremely high, distances rather big and so on, and so on. It wasn´t before we reached the latitude of 35°, that we felt anything like home. There, on the anchorage of Beaufort N.C., life became more pleasant. Especially sitting in the armchair of the air conditioned Maritime Museum. Here we found the plans of a boat, who´s beautiful lines, when we were once moored next to her, left a lasting impression upon us. Again, I couldn´t resist dreaming of building a boat from scratch. Years later, this indeed was going to happen, but not in the States.
